In 2015 Baron made the decision to bring tooling capabilities inside so we could deliver world class tooling, reduce lead times, project manage and importantly keep our customers drawings, designs, and IP within Baron without being sent to third parties.

Since 2015 Baron has manufactured over 1500 tools inhouse for customer products from Precision LSR production tooling, fully automatic plastic injection tooling to low volume rapid prototypes.

Typical lead times for tooling are as follows:

  • Prototype Tooling – 3 Weeks
  • Compression Tooling – 4 Weeks
  • Production Tooling – 6-8 Weeks
  • Overmoulding – 10 Weeks
